Rádióbérlés blog / Adóvevő bérlés

If we were to summarise briefly why many companies find it useful to rent a transceiver rather than buy one, we would say that renting a transceiver is more cost-effective than buying one, especially for occasional or short-term use.

By renting, you avoid high start-up costs, maintenance and repair expenses, and you always have access to the latest equipment. In addition, the service provider provides the right setup and support, so there is no need for expertise or long-term commitment.

Now that the sunny spring weather is here and the demand for radio rental is growing, we've tried to put all the arguments together in this post and will also tell you who we think should consider renting a radio instead of buying!

Why and who might benefit from renting instead of buying?

Short-term use

If you only need transceivers on a temporary basis, for example for events, construction sites or temporary projects, renting is the best option. You don't have to store and maintain the equipment for long periods of time, and you can always use the latest equipment.

Lower start-up costs

Buying professional receivers can be a significant expense, which is unnecessary if you only use them occasionally. By renting, you can avoid a major investment and rent exactly as many devices as you need, for as long as you actually use them.

Broadcasting without prior arrangement

Some transceivers require a frequency licence, which can mean lengthy arrangements and extra costs. By renting, you can avoid this, as your operator will provide you with pre-set radios that you can use straight away, so you don't have to worry about regulations and licences.

What kind of events should I rent a transmitter for?

Events, sporting events, car races, village fairs

Fast and reliable communication is essential for any event. Transceivers help the organisers, security team, staff and volunteers to coordinate tasks efficiently and respond quickly to any situation.

Filming

When a large crew is working on multiple locations, transmitters are essential to ensure a smooth shoot. They can help minimise delays by keeping the director, cameramen, technicians and other crew members in constant contact and responding immediately to any changes. But they are also useful on smaller shoots, because even when they are within sight of each other, it's not very elegant to shout at each other over a long day of shooting.

Travel abroad, tours

Heading to the mountains of Georgia or on a photography tour of Iceland? Transceivers are the ideal solution in places where mobile network coverage is unavailable or unreliable. They help team members to stay in constant contact, ensuring safety and efficient coordination.

Festivals, large-scale concerts

A large festival has multiple venues, stages and zones, so fast communication is essential for organisers, security and medical teams. Transceivers ensure that all situations can be responded to immediately, preventing disruptions and accidents.

Temporary works, construction

If a project lasts only a few weeks or months, renting a transceiver is much more economical than buying one. In construction and other temporary works, transceivers help to ensure rapid communication between different work areas, making work more efficient.

Supplement your existing fleet

Already have a transceiver but need more temporarily due to a major project or event? You can easily integrate the leased transceivers into your existing DMR fleet, cost-effectively expanding your team's communications capabilities without the need for a long-term investment.

How does the transceiver rental process work at Anico Ltd?

Let's take a look at the steps of the rental process at Anico Ltd., starting from the moment the need arises.

  1. Filling out the application form

Once you have decided that you want to rent, the first step is to fill out the application form, which you will find at the bottom of the page. Here you can enter the type of event you would like to hire for, how many transceivers you would need, and all the important information that will help us decide which type of rental radio would be best for you. There is no obligation to fill out the form!

  1. You can request an assesmentand a trial period

Our colleagues will contact you shortly to discuss the details and the selection of the right radio. On request, we can also offer you a trial period so that you can check that the radios are working properly before you start using them.

  1. Offer, contract and payment

Once you have accepted our offer, we will send you a simple rental contract to sign and return to us. If you request delivery by courier, payment is made by bank transfer in advance, and you can pay by cash or credit card if you want to collect in person.

  1. Receiving and training

You can collect your receivers in person or we can deliver them to you by courier. A member of our staff will explain how to use the devices to make sure everything goes smoothly.

  1. End of rental and return of the devices

At the end of the rental period, you can return the equipment in person or by courier. If it's more convenient, we can arrange return delivery so you don't have to worry about it.

More services for our rental radio customers

Before you commit to a rental, we offer you the opportunity to try a trial period. This way, you can make sure that the equipment you choose is perfectly suited to your needs and will work smoothly in your environment before you actually use it.

And you don't have to worry about the logistics. For a fee, we will deliver the rented transceivers to the desired location and take care of the return at the end of the rental. This saves you time and effort, while ensuring that the devices arrive on time and in good condition.

We provide technical supervision throughout the rental period, so if any problems or questions arise, we can help you quickly and efficiently. We are available by phone or online to resolve any technical challenges as quickly as possible.

If you need real-time tracking and coordination, you can also use our map-based dispatching software to help you manage your team efficiently. If required, we can give you a demonstration of the system and train you on how to use it to its full potential.

The larger the quantity and the longer the rental period, the better the conditions we offer. If you are planning a longer rental period or need more equipment, we can support your project with a tailor-made, cost-effective offer.

Anico's rental range

Currently, the state-of-the-art digital DMRs Caltta PH600 and PH690 SFR and Hytera BP515 industrial transceivers make up the majority of our traditional DMR rental radios. Our Caltta PH690 DMRs are also capable of extending the range of your radio fleet with an SFR licence, so there's no need to rent an expensive repeater and no installation costs!

In addition to our more traditional DMR industrial transceivers, we also have a large number of Caltta internet-based radios that use Caltta's own PoC system, eChat, to ensure unlimited range. These radios operate on a mobile network with a SIM card or over a Wi-Fi network.

But let's also take a look at which devices we recommend for which conditions:

Caltta DMR radios - Excellent for working in dusty and wet environments. They provide reliable communications for construction sites, outdoor festivals, outdoor film shoots and sporting events.

Hytera DMR rental radios - Ideal for indoor events such as concerts, film shoots, theatre productions and temporary works. Especially recommended for locations where the environment is not too dusty or polluted.

Caltta PH690 DMRs (SFR licensed) - They work well in urban environments, in dense vegetation and rough terrain, and at large-scale events with tens of thousands of visitors. Their use is particularly beneficial in places where GSM coverage is not available, as they provide reliable communication without a repeater thanks to their range extender function. The Caltta PH690 SFR transceivers are also compatible with Caltta and Hytera radios in the fleet.

Caltta/eChat POC Transceivers - Recommended for applications covering large areas or long distances, provided a GSM network is available. They are ideal for rally competitions, large-scale festivals or even cross-border work.
