High-quality accessories are essential for the efficient and reliable operation of radios, as they significantly impact performance and user experience.
A good-quality antenna, microphone, or headset can greatly enhance signal transmission and reception, ensuring clear, noise-free communication. On the other hand, low-quality devices can introduce distortion or interference. Durable, robust accessories offer a longer lifespan and withstand everyday wear and tear, such as impacts, dust, or water damage, which is especially important for industrial environments or outdoor use.
For optimal performance, accessories must perfectly match the type of radio being used. Incompatible or low-quality devices not only degrade performance but can even damage the device. Comfort is also an important factor: ergonomic headsets and microphones are comfortable to use even for extended periods, whereas lower-quality products may cause discomfort or fatigue. In critical situations, such as emergencies, quick and unobstructed communication is vital, and only reliable accessories can guarantee this.
The Hytera radios joined the Anico portfolio in 2023, quickly followed by a demand for accessories. This led us to review the catalog of accessories and select useful items that enhance the efficiency of Hytera radios.
Longer Antenna for Greater Range
Demand for longer antennas has already arisen with our fleet of Hytera DMR rental radios, and that was supported by feedback from Hytera AP515 buyers. The radios come with a practical, medium-sized antenna that meets basic user needs. However, if you need to communicate in open and vast areas or ensure stronger signal transmission in large buildings, a longer antenna might be necessary.
A longer antenna provides several benefits, especially for signal transmission and reception. The size of the antenna directly impacts its effectiveness in transmitting and receiving radio waves.
Longer antennas resonate better at lower frequencies, which can typically travel further and are less affected by obstacles like buildings or trees. This enhances the radio’s range and ensures more stable signal transmission over longer distances.
Additionally, a longer antenna offers a larger surface area for receiving radio waves, providing better performance even in areas with weak signals. This can be especially useful in densely built urban environments or remote rural locations.
However, it’s important to note that using a longer antenna may involve trade-offs, such as reduced portability or convenience for everyday use. The optimal choice always depends on the specific application and requirements.
Hytera AN0435W15 400-470MHz long antenna / Hytera AP and BP series
The Hytera AN0435W15 400–470MHz long antennas were thoroughly tested in our Anico rental radio fleet during the summer. For one month, they were used with our Hytera BP515 DMR radios at the Puskás Arena. The factory antennas of 20 radios were replaced with the long version, enabling communication from the farthest point of the Arena to the outer parking lot.
Hytera Handheld Speaker Microphones
A microphone is an extremely useful accessory for radios, significantly improving communication efficiency and convenience. With a microphone, the device doesn’t need to be held continuously, which is particularly beneficial in scenarios where the user needs free hands, such as during work or driving. They are also ideal for situations where headsets might be inconvenient, yet a loud, clear audio output is necessary.
The Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the microphone allows quick and easy use, which is especially valuable in emergencies where every second counts.
Hytera handheld microphones provide clearer, more intelligible audio as they are positioned closer to the speaker, reducing background noise and distortions. This is particularly advantageous in noisy environments where reliable communication is critical.
Additionally, Hytera microphones come with built-in speakers, adding practicality by combining transmission and reception into one device. This setup enables quick communication while ensuring safe and discreet operation, as the radio doesn’t need to be taken out for every use. These microphones enhance the convenience, efficiency, and reliability of Hytera radios, particularly in situations that require fast, clear, and unobstructed communication, such as automotive or heavy machinery use.

Hytera Desktop Microphone
Among microphones, the desktop microphone for Hytera mobile radios is worth mentioning. If you use high-performance mobile radios or repeaters in an office rather than in a vehicle or machine, the Hytera SM10A1 desktop microphone is an excellent choice. It allows comfortable and elegant radio operation.
Hytera desktop microphones feature a larger, ergonomically designed PTT button for faster and easier use. This is particularly beneficial for frequent communication, as it reduces physical strain. Additionally, they offer superior audio quality, as their design is optimized for clear and intelligible audio transmission. This minimizes background noise, making them especially useful in noisy environments or on busy communication channels.
Another advantage is the stable position of the desktop microphone, which ensures that it is always properly positioned for conversations and does not need to be adjusted repeatedly. This makes the communication process faster and smoother, while allowing users to freely use their hands for other tasks.
Overall, the Hytera desktop microphone is a practical, comfortable, and efficient solution for mobile radios, contributing to clear communication, easier handling, and long-term comfort, especially during fixed installations or dispatcher tasks.

6-Slot Battery Charger
Efficiently charging a fleet of radios can be a challenge, particularly in industrial settings. The Hytera MCA08 (EU) 6-slot battery charger provides an excellent solution.
This charger simplifies battery management, allowing multiple batteries to be charged simultaneously, saving time and minimizing downtime. This is especially critical for large teams or workplaces where multiple radios are in use, such as security services, event organizers, or logistics companies.
With features like intelligent charging, these chargers prevent overcharging, extending battery life. By keeping spare batteries fully charged, they ensure uninterrupted communication during long shifts or emergencies.
If the radios need to be issued at the beginning of the day and returned at the end of the day from the office or warehouse, the Hytera MCA08 (EU) 6-slot battery charger can be really useful. The charging docks for the radios can be used separately or even on the worksite.
